Sometimes the life that once fit begins to feel too small or simply no longer true.
You may have built something meaningful and be respected for what you do, yet sense another chapter asking for your attention. It may follow children leaving home, a change in your work, relationship, business, or health, or the return of a dream you have postponed.
You can feel something shifting without knowing what should replace it.
The Clearing is a private gathering for six leaders, artists, founders, and professionals in that in-between place.
"Healing doesn't happen through force.
You can't make someone heal.
However, you can give the right conditions and healing happens.
Those right conditions are connection, relationship, safety, being the kind of person that someone wants to engage with, and the right timing...and trusting that.
Not forcing it, consciousness comes onboard."
- Ron Kurtz, founder of the Hakomi Method
Leadership can be profoundly lonely. You may be surrounded by people and still have few places where you are not expected to know, guide, reassure, decide, or hold the bigger picture. The invisible labor alongside actual mental and physical labor.
For three days, you can step away from those familiar roles. You will be held by the rhythms of the land, the care built into each detail, and the company of five thoughtful peers who know how to speak honestly, listen generously, and leave room for one another.
You do not need to arrive with an answer or leave with a plan. Nothing is required of you, but very little about the weekend is accidental. The setting, meals, activities, and composition of the group are chosen to offer something daily life rarely does: loving presence to notice what is asking for your attention.
Mornings begin with movement, sound, and spaciousness. Days move between the farm, creative exploration, unhurried meals, thoughtful conversation, and time to walk, write, rest, or simply listen. Evenings bring us back to the table and to one another.
The retreat is gently structured and responsive to the people, the weather, and the life of the farm.
Friday · Arriving
Settle into the land, meet the group, share our first meal, and begin.
Saturday · Entering more deeply
Morning movement and sound, breakfast, an immersive farm experience, creative exploration, a nourishing meal, and an evening gathering.
Sunday · Gathering what remains
Walking or Kripalu yoga, breakfast, reflection, and a closing integration before departure.
The quality of The Clearing depends upon the people who gather.
I am choosing guests with the self-awareness, emotional steadiness, curiosity, discretion, and care for shared space that allow trust to develop naturally. Each person will bring a different life and body of experience, yet all will understand how to speak honestly, listen generously, and make space for one another.
My hope is that the companionship begun here will not end when the weekend does.
Wild Candy Farm rests within 50 acres of wooded trails, water, cabins, and regenerative, organic farmland in Wimberley, Texas. It is a working farm hospitality stewarded by Sky Cutler, his family, and his team.
Unlike conference rooms or hotels, the farm is more than the setting for The Clearing. Its weather, growing things, wildlife, open sky, and daily rhythms are part of our time together.
The Clearing begins at 4 p.m. Friday, November 6 and closes at approximately 11 a.m. Sunday, November 8.
Your stay includes two nights at Wild Candy Farm, all meals and refreshments, private-chef culinary experiences, yoga and sound, farm and creative activities, retreat materials, a collection of local gifts, and the full care of this six-person gathering.
Early commitment investment: $1,950 through October 18
Standard investment: $2,250 beginning October 19
Travel to and from Wimberley is not included.
Because the group matters, each guest is invited through a brief application. It helps me understand what is bringing you to The Clearing and whether this particular gathering can support what you are seeking.
You will hear from me personally within five days. If invited, you will have 72 hours to reserve your place.

Meals are prepared in a shared kitchen, so an entirely allergen-free environment cannot be guaranteed.
The retreat will take place rain or shine, with indoor alternatives available when necessary. Wild Candy Farm is a natural, working property with uneven ground, insects, wildlife, plants, dirt, mud, and changing weather. Appropriate clothing and footwear are important, and participation in every activity is voluntary.
The Clearing is a thoughtfully facilitated, participatory gathering, but it is not psychotherapy, medical care, or crisis support. Guests are expected to respect one another’s privacy, boundaries, time, and shared space.
“Every detail, from the beautifully prepared fresh food and red poppies along the Italian countryside to hillside yoga, quiet time to journal, and beautifully set tables, was perfect. That journey carried us far and went an equal distance into our world within. Thank you, Monica!”
-Marta, San Antonio, TX
I’ve been creating immersive experiences for more than twenty years—from yoga and culinary retreats in Italy to wellness and creativity gatherings closer to home, alongside decades of producing large-scale events for corporations. I love what happens when we step outside our familiar surroundings long enough to encounter ourselves, and one another, a little differently.
As an integrative strategist and experienced facilitator, I have spent years accompanying leaders, founders, artists, and professionals through periods of transition and business building, helping them align with their values and make room for what is emerging.
Whether in Italy or close to home, I am drawn to places with a distinct life of their own—their landscapes, foodways, weather, skyscapes, and stories—and to the new dimensions they can open within us.
